About this role
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and test software, data pipelines or machine learning models that solve real-world retail and eCommerce problems.
- Write clean, production-quality, well-tested code and participate in code reviews with experienced engineers.
- Work with large-scale retail datasets, exploration, cleaning, transformation and modelling, to support product, pricing, supply chain and customer experience decisions.
- Contribute to the full delivery lifecycle, requirement discussions, design, development, testing, deployment and monitoring, owning end-to-end responsibility for your work.
- Deploy and support your work on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure with a DevOps mindset, version control, CI/CD, observability and troubleshooting.
- Explore how AI and Generative AI tooling can improve our products and your own productivity, and bring those ideas to your team.
- Work in an agile team spread across multiple geographies daily, using collaborative tools like Jira and GitLab.
- Present your work clearly to technical and business stakeholders, and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to learn/share your knowledge within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI/ML, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics or a related branch, with a minimum of 60% average across semesters.
- Strong programming proficiency in at least one language: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go or C++, along with familiarity with SQL.
- Solid foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming and Database concepts.
