Software Engineer + Instructor

Role Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer + Instructor to join Bosscoder School of Technology. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals who enjoy both building software and mentoring the next generation of developers. The role involves contributing to software development while teaching beginner-level undergraduate students. You will simplify technical concepts, deliver practical and interactive learning sessions, and help students build a strong foundation in programming and computer science.

Key Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, test and maintain scalable software applications. 2. Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following industry best practices. 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance product features. 4. Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions. 5. Deliver engaging classroom sessions for beginner-level undergraduate students on subjects such as Java, Web Development, Programming Fundamentals, and Data Structures & Algorithms 6. Break down complex technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand lessons. 7. Collaborate with the academic team to enhance curriculum and learning content based on industry best practices. 8. Mentor students throughout their learning journey and support them in building practical programming skills.

Mandatory Requirements 1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 2. Strong programming fundamentals with a solid grasp of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design (SOLID principles, common design patterns). 3. Hands-on experience with modern frontend development: TypeScript, React (hooks, component architecture), state management, and CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS. Familiarity with Vite and component libraries (Radix UI) is a plus. 4. Hands-on experience with backend development in Java + Spring Boot (Spring Web, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security), building and consuming RESTful APIs. 5. Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL), schema design, and migrations (e.g., Flyway). 6. Proficiency with Git, code review workflows, and software development best practices (clean architecture, testing, CI/CD).

Preferred Requirements 1. Experience with JWT-based auth and OAuth (e.g., Google Sign-In), and secure API design. 2. Exposure to third-party integrations: payment gateways (Razorpay), file storage (AWS S3), real-time communication (WebSockets / Socket.IO ), and video streaming (HLS). 3. Experience with AWS (Lambda, S3) and containerized deployments (Docker). 4. Familiarity with building interactive features like an online code compiler/judge, PDF generation, or similar.
