Role Summary We are looking for a

SDET-2 (Software Development Engineer in Test) with

2–4 years of experience in test automation to strengthen our QA engineering team. As an SDET-2, you will design, implement, and execute automation scripts across

web, mobile, and API platforms for both

Ecommerce and Health Tech applications . You will work closely with senior SDETs and developers to contribute to frameworks, improve coverage, and enhance the overall quality of Kapiva’s products. This is a hands-on role where you will build and scale automation while ensuring fast, reliable, and high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, specifications, and design documents to create comprehensive test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts across:

Web (Cypress/Playwright),

Mobile (Appium),

APIs (RestAssured, Pytest, Postman/Newman)

• Contribute to building and extending

test automation frameworks .

• Ensure strong automated coverage for

Ecommerce flows (checkout, subscriptions, payments, promotions, personalization) and

Health Tech flows (consultations, patient journeys, doctor dashboards).

• Execute regression, functional, and integration testing, ensuring quality releases.
• Debug, identify, and report issues with clear documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure testability of features.
• Maintain and update automation scripts to keep pace with evolving product features.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support

shift-left testing practices .

• Share knowledge with junior team members and contribute to a culture of quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong knowledge of

QA methodologies, tools, and processes .

• Hands-on experience with

automation frameworks like Cypress/Playwright for web and Appium for mobile.

• Experience in

API testing/automation (RestAssured, Pytest, Postman/Newman).

• Solid understanding of

SQL and database testing .

• Experience working with

Agile/Scrum development processes .

• Ability to write clear and structured

test cases, test plans, and defect reports .

• B Tech/M Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Bonus Points

• Programming knowledge in

JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for advanced test automation.

• Experience in

Ecommerce or

Health Tech domain testing.

• exposure to

CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS/GCP).

• Familiarity with

performance testing (JMeter, Locust).

• Interest in contributing to
