Software Engineer I React & Python

Sitero is seeking a Software Engineer I with hands-on experience in React.js and Python to develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of frontend and backend development, API integration, and software engineering practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Frontend Development: Develop and maintain responsive, reusable, and user-friendly web application components using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Backend Development: Build and maintain backend application functionality using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• API Development & Integration: Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs to support application functionality.
• Database Integration: Work with SQL databases to manage application data and support backend operations.
• Application Maintenance: Debug issues, resolve defects, optimize application performance, and contribute to enhancements.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and support unit and integration testing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver assigned features.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Frontend Development: Practical experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Backend Development: Good programming knowledge of Python, with exposure to FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• API Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON-based data exchange.
• Database Systems: Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Software Engineering: Familiarity with Git, debugging, unit testing, and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Basic understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience developing applications in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare, clinical research, or regulated software environments.

• Standard hours: 40 hours per week, one hour lunch, Monday–Friday. Additional hours as needed.
