Software Engineer I [T500-26927]

Best Buy™ is seeking a Software Engineers I to play a key role in delivering software products for Best Buy’s

In-Home Order Fulfillment Mobile App team. You will work with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, Architects, and other team members to modernize and build products that align to the product team’s vision and strategy. The engineering of these products will leverage multi-cloud platforms, human centered design, Agile and DevOps principles to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality. You will work on a team of talented software engineering professionals, leading by example and mentoring others. All of this will be done by embracing inclusive behaviors, working through ambiguity, demonstrating a strong attention to detail, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Teams Overview: The In-Home Order Fulfillment Mobile App: The In-Home Order Fulfillment group focuses on scheduling and fulfilling customer appointments. This includes products and services that are purchased in-store and online. The fulfillment product area focuses on the drivers and agents going into the customer's home and is the last touchpoint for that customer's interaction. Ensuring these users have everything necessary to not only complete the work but also support the customer efficiently is key to their success. You will be part of a team that is focused on building out a new native mobile application that gives this group of users all the tools necessary.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s or associate degree, OR equivalent. Including:
• Strong programming skills in

Java/JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with:
• Appium for mobile test automation
• Automation frameworks such as

TestNG or JUnit

• Experience with

API testing using libraries like Rest Assured

• Strong understanding of

test frameworks and automation design patterns

• Solid understanding of

SQL for data validation and backend testing

• Experience testing

eCommerce platforms or transactional systems

• Familiarity with

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

• Understanding of

Agile/Scrum methodologies Preferred:

• Good understanding towards eCommerce flows such as:
• Product discovery & search
• Cart & checkout
• Payments & order management
• Perform

functional, regression, integration, and API testing

• Design, develop, and maintain

automated test frameworks using

Java-based tools

• Build and execute

mobile automation tests using Appium (iOS/Android)

• Strong understanding of QA fundamentals with a quality-first mindset and the ability to identify risks and gaps in requirements.
• Exposure to test automation using Java or JavaScript and familiarity with automation frameworks; should be eager to learn and grow in automation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders
