Software Engineer- CUBE - Bangalore

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the CUBE platform's core development. The engineer will work on critical aspects like SIP protocol implementation, media handling, and security features, ensuring high performance and reliability. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C-based software components for CUBE, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Implement SIP signaling, call routing, and protocol interworking for VoIP standards.
• Optimize RTP/RTCP media handling, transcoding, and QoS features.
• Enhance security mechanisms, including encryption, authentication, and DoS protection.
• Profile and optimize code for minimal latency and jitter in high-call-volume environments.
• Diagnose and resolve complex software issues using debugging tools and log analysis.
• Collaborate with product management to design and implement new features.
• Write clean, well-documented code following Cisco's standards.
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests, and participate in system-level testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience in C/C++.
• Strong proficiency in C programming with hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, network protocols, and socket programming.
• Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP/RTCP) is highly desirable.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments, system-level programming, and multi-threaded applications.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, and HTTP communications.
• Understanding of network protocols and real-time communication systems.
• Experience with web frameworks and web interface testing tools.
