Software Engineer (Backend), Automation Testing

Job Summary

Youll work across Automation Testing, starting with test data: connecting databases and other sources to tests. The role leans toward the correctness and reliability of the data behind tests and integrations across API building and automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build features that help developers test their APIs and automate those tests, locally, in CI and in the cloud
• Make test runs fast, reliable and easy to debug, at any scale
• Build the results and reporting that show users what passed, what failed and why
• Ship end to end, from design to production, with well-tested code
• Review code, contribute to design, and own what you ship in production, including on-call

Requirements

• 3+ years building and shipping production software
• Strong fundamentals and clean, well-tested code
• Strong backend engineering in Node.js/TypeScript, Go and cloud providers like AWS
• Working depth in databases and SQL across more than one engine
• Care for data correctness: types, precision and conversions that lose nothing

Nice to have

• Experience with database drivers (JDBC or native) or query engines
• Experience with API testing, developer tools or test automation
