Software Engineer Associate

As a Software Developer Associate for Simcenter Amesim, you will join a global team dedicated to developing the worlds leading integrated platform for multi-domain system simulation. You will contribute to the core platform, focusing on building scalable, high-performance features that enable engineers to innovate in industries like automotive, aerospace, and energy.

• OOP Foundations: A strong foundation and hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• C++ Excellence: Relevant C++ programming skills, with an emphasis on writing clean, robust, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Technical Breadth: A good understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Codebase Navigation: The ability to understand and work effectively with an existing complex codebase, including debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Learning Agility: Curiosity, ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively within globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Design and implement new functionalities within the Simcenter Amesim core platform and Graphical User Interface (GUI).
• Code Maintenance: Debug existing complex codebases and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaboration: Work within globally distributed teams and cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Innovation: Contribute to software architecture discussions and detailed design for new features.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 1+ years of relevant software development experience. We value the quality and depth of your experience over the number of years.
• Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Tools (Advantageous): Experience with Qt is a plus, but not mandatory if you demonstrate strong C++/OOP fundamentals and a high learning ability.
• Future-Forward: Interest or exposure to AI and agentic development is highly desirable.
