Designation: Software Engineer

Job Purpose: The role involves developing user-friendly, secure, and efficient applications to streamline workflows, improve data management, and support the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, test, and deploy web-based and mobile applications based on organizational requirements.
2. Maintain and enhance existing applications, dashboards, and digital tools to ensure smooth functioning and optimal performance.
3. Develop and manage databases, APIs, and integrations with third-party platforms and existing organizational systems.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve application errors, bugs, and technical issues within agreed timelines.
5. Implement application security measures, access controls, and data protection practices to safeguard organizational information.
6. Identify opportunities for process automation and develop digital solutions to improve operational efficiency across departments.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, implement solutions, and provide technical support and user training.
8. Maintain technical documentation, conduct testing, and ensure application quality, reliability, and timely delivery.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant technical certifications or equivalent practical experience will be an advantage.

Experience

• 25 years of relevant experience in application development.
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining web or mobile applications.
• Freshers with strong programming skills and demonstrable projects may also be considered, depending on organizational requirements.

Technical skills & competencies

• Proficiency in programming languages and web technologies such as Java, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, or .NET.
• Ability to work with Zoho One application, including customization, workflow automation, and integration with other systems.
• Knowledge of application testing, debugging, deployment, cloud hosting, and data security, including authentication, authorization, and access management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand technical requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing organizational requirements.
