Role: Software Engineer (Android) 📍

Location: Ahmedabad (Work from Office) 🎓

Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science

, Information Technology, or related field

Role Overview CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain Android features primarily in Java; write clean, modular, and testable code.
• Implement UI screens using XML layouts and Views; working knowledge of Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation).
• Participate in code reviews; give and receive constructive feedback to uphold coding standards.
• Debug, reproduce, and fix defects independently; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Write JUnit and Espresso tests; maintain reasonable code coverage on feature work.
• Break down assigned tasks, estimate effort, and deliver consistently within sprint commitments.
• Collaborate with designers, QA, and backend engineers to deliver features end-to-end.

AI-FIRST

• Use Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot daily to write, refactor, and document Java/Kotlin code faster.
• Integrate ML Kit APIs (text recognition, translation, smart reply) for AI-powered in-app features.
• Build UI components that surface AI-generated suggestions or predictions to end users.
