Software Engineer 2

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain and scale the developer platform to assist engineering teams in developing and deploying software using DevSecOps best practices.
• Own the lifecycle management of self-hosted, on-premises enterprise software (e. g., GitHub Enterprise, Trivy, etc. ), including architecture, regular patching, major version upgrades, and security remediations.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to help our customers and partners, managing vendor support escalations and enterprise licenses when necessary.
• Work in an agile environment with a DevSecOps approach—teams build and maintain their own secure software, including taking turns being on-call.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of hands-on professional experience in DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering.
• Familiarity with administering systems like GitHub Enterprise, Trivy, etc.
• Proficient in writing software using Golang, and you are not afraid of adapting, learning, and working with different languages and frameworks.
• Having a collaborative work style that includes colleagues in important decisions and leads to shared code ownership.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with Terraform, Jenkins, AWS Services (EKS, EC2, etc).
• Familiarity with security scanning tools like Trivy, Grype, etc.
• Proven experience managing, scaling, and upgrading self-hosted, enterprise-grade applications in highly available (HA) architectures.
• Understanding the value that DevSecOps practices bring to a development team's efficiency and reliability, and passionate about applying these techniques to your projects.
