Software Development Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable software applications.
• Manage and mentor a team of software developers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Define software architecture, coding standards, development practices, and technical best practices.
• Review code to ensure quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements.
• Plan project timelines, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices to improve development efficiency.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve software quality and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection requirements, and industry best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in software development, with prior experience leading a development team or managing technical projects.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, databases, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern development frameworks.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and drive end-to-end project delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Preferred certifications in cloud computing, software architecture, DevOps, or Agile project management.
