Software Development in Test

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Test Automation and Performance:

• Generate test case traceability matrices from API specifications.
• Build/Maintain API automation suites using Karate.
• Develop and execute K6 performance scripts integrated into AWS CodeBuild.
• Monitor performance benchmarks and report findings.

Internal Tool Development:

• Design and develop Java-based internal utilities to automate manual workflows.

Migration Execution:

• Lead/Support EOL migrations (Java version upgrades, AWS Aurora upgrades, etc. ).

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain migration playbooks, tool documentation, and test reports in Confluence.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders based on performance and migration metrics.

Requirements:

• Years of Experience: 6 to 8 Years.
• QA: Has hands-on experience in test case matrix design and Karate automation.
• Architecture: Proven ability to design scalable internal tools and migration frameworks.
• Migrations: Deep expertise in Java version upgrades and AWS Aurora database migrations.
• Performance: Expert at writing complex K6 scenarios and analyzing performance bottlenecks.
• Infra: Hands-on experience in AWS.
• Leadership: Experience mentoring team members and owning end-to-end technical documentation.
• Problem Solving: Advanced ability to analyze legacy systems.

Technical Stack:

• Programming: Java (primary), Shell/Bash (scripting).
• Automation: Karate (API), K6 (Performance).
• Infrastructure: AWS (CodeBuild, RDS/Aurora), Docker.
• Databases: MySQL, AWS Aurora (SQL Proficiency).
• CI/CD and Tools: Git, Jenkins/AWS CodeBuild, Maven/Gradle.
• Documentation: Confluence, Jira.
