About this role
About the Company We are seeking a Backend Engineer (SDE-2) with 3–5 years of experience, preferably with strong expertise in Go (Golang). As an SDE-2, you will play a key role in designing and scaling backend systems, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices in software development. This position is ideal for engineers who want to work on complex product development challenges while contributing to both technical depth and team growth.
About the Role Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs.
- Own and drive end-to-end feature delivery, from design to production.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide SDE-1s and interns, ensuring high-quality code practices.
- Ensure code quality, testing, and reliability in production systems.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and propose scalable solutions.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Go (Golang); experience in Java/Python/Node.js is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of system design, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL) and query optimization.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Required Skills
- Experience in distributed systems, caching, and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
- Prior experience in product-based or startup environments.
- Ability to handle ownership of modules and critical features independently.
