Software Development Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer - Backend with strong expertise in Java or Golang to join our technology team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable backend systems, working with cloud platforms, and developing technology solutions in an AI/GenAI environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Java or Golang.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and AI teams to develop AI-driven products and features.
• Design and implement solutions that integrate AI/ML/GenAI capabilities into backend systems.
• Develop cloud-native applications and deploy services using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Optimise application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 7-9 years of software development experience with strong backend development expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Java OR Golang.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot (for Java candidates) or Go-based backend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Microservices and Distributed Systems.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design / Design Patterns.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Good understanding of System Design and scalable architecture.
