About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Software Engineer Backend to join our engineering team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) and hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java or Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code using Java or Python.
• Apply strong Data Structures & Algorithms knowledge to solve complex technical problems.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases and optimize queries and application performance.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to system design, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Write unit tests and ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Stay updated with relevant backend technologies and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience building or working with backend applications/APIs.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Good knowledge of software development and debugging practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Spring Boot or equivalent backend frameworks.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
• Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP or cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or similar technologies.
