Job Description We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java-based test automation, API testing, and modern UI automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have excellent coding skills, a quality-first mindset, and experience building scalable automation frameworks for enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java.
• Perform extensive API testing (approximately 80% of testing effort) using automation tools and frameworks.
• Develop and execute UI automation test scripts (approximately 20% of testing effort) using Selenium and Playwright.
• Create reusable test components, utilities, and automation libraries.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, test case design, and test execution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ensure software quality standards, test coverage, and automation best practices are followed.
• Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and frameworks.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with Playwright for modern web automation.
• Strong expertise in API Testing using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of TestNG, JUnit, Maven, or Gradle.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to Docker and cloud-based testing environments.
• Experience with performance or security testing is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
