Our Cloud Data Services Quality Assurance group is responsible for extensive testing across multiple cutting-edge technologies and systems developed at Akamai. Our priority is blending these technologies and focusing on real-world, end-to-end testing to ensure all of our systems integrate and deploy to Akamais Platform.

Develop and contribute to full product life cycle

As a SDET, you will be part of a scrum team, working to support good quality practices and build integration and system tests, both manual and automated. Youll be a key part of the team responsible for testing of Akamai Data Warehouse.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Performing the full QA cycle for software releases: gathering specs, developing test plans, automate, running automated and manual tests.
• Creating and applying new approaches and concepts to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing practices and the environment.
• Performing and participating in all aspects of verification including requirements gathering, feature and functional testing, regression, load, and performance testing.
• Designing testing tools, which include developing scripts to enhance regression testing.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Have solid QA testing experience.
• Show advanced knowledge of scripting languages like Python, shell script and SQL.
• Have a good understanding on networking protocols and technologies (especially HTTP, HTTPS, DNS).
• Demonstrate experience in testing of Backend Distributed systems and have some familiarity with Kubernetes.
