Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location: Bengaluru, India

Reports To: Lead – Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Job Summary We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure software quality by designing, developing, and executing automated and manual tests. The ideal candidate will work closely with development and product teams, build reliable test automation, and support high-quality software releases in cloud-based environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
• Create test plans based on business and technical requirements.
• Identify, report, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to improve software quality.
• Validate API, UI, and end-to-end application functionality.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by running and maintaining automated test suites.
• Participate in release validation across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, reports, and defect records.
• Continuously improve testing processes and adopt modern AI-assisted testing practices. Required Skills
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with manual and automation testing.
• Knowledge of API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based applications.
• Experience with automation frameworks and scripting/programming languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with modern test automation tools and AI-assisted development/testing tools.
• Exposure to distributed or cloud-hosted applications is an advantage.
