Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in programming, test automation, and software quality. You will work on building and maintaining automated test suites, performing end-to-end and smoke testing, and ensuring application quality across multiple client platforms throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Basic proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Understanding of programming fundamentals, including functions, objects, asynchronous programming, and error handling.
• Familiarity with at least one testing framework: Jest, Mocha, or Vitest.
• Basic understanding of end-to-end testing, smoke testing, regression testing, and test automation.
• Familiarity with Maestro or mobile UI automation concepts.
• Basic understanding of performance testing and k6.
• Knowledge of SDLC, debugging, defect tracking, and software testing principles.
• Familiarity with Git, command-line tools, and basic API testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automation testing through internships, academic projects, or personal projects.
• Exposure to testing web, mobile, or OTT applications across multiple client platforms.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test execution.
• Understanding of test automation design, reusable test utilities, and test reporting.
