About this role
Role summary You'll own the development of aiRA's integration and data-connector layer on a new agentic AI platform — from shaping what we build to shipping it. Data connectors are core to this role. You'll build deep, end-to-end integrations out of the Capillary platforms so that aiRA can pull in the right data and execute any action across the external systems our enterprises run — Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, leading loyalty programs, and CRM/CDP and agentic platforms. This isn't about aiRA merely 'showing up' as an agent elsewhere; it's about building the connective tissue that lets actions and workflows execute reliably across platforms. A builder's role at the ground floor: you'll turn a broad product direction into concrete connectors, drive them end to end, and grow a small team's output around you. You won't just take tickets; you'll define them.
Responsibilities
- Break down the integration vision into well-scoped data connectors and adaptors, and own their delivery end to end — design, implementation, and quality.
- Build deep, end-to-end integrations out of the Capillary platforms so that any action can be executed across the various external platforms our enterprises run.
- Build the adaptor/transformer framework that makes onboarding a new integration or data source fast and repeatable — not a one-off each time.
- Define the contracts (auth, events, actions, data mapping) that let aiRA both consume data and signals from, and trigger actions on, partner platforms.
- Operate as a tech lead, not a solo IC: delegate work to teammates, review their code, and unblock them.
- Partner with other teams to build a deep understanding of the existing Capillary platform and infrastructure, and integrate against it.
- Own reliability, observability and versioning of integrations and data pipelines in production.
Required qualifications
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Has shipped and run something real in production — owned it end to end, not just contributed to it.
- Hands-on experience building data connectors and third-party integrations at scale: APIs, webhooks, OAuth, event-driven architecture, and data transformation / pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs / agentic AI (frameworks, tools, RAG, etc.).
- Strong in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating with Salesforce, Adobe, ServiceNow, or leading loyalty / CRM / CDP platforms.
- Exposure to MCP, function-calling, or agent-to-agent protocols.
Soft skills
- Strong ownership and a genuine drive to build something new from scratch.
- Self-directed — you create the work, you don't wait to be assigned it. A cog-in-the-wheel mindset won't survive here.
- We strongly favour startup or founding-engineer backgrounds: comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing several hats. If you need big-company structure and clearly-handed-down tickets to be productive, this isn't the role for you.
