    About the Team

Join a fast-moving engineering team at Expedia Group building customer-facing and internal platforms at scale. We ship iteratively, own our services end to end, and lean heavily on modern engineering practices - including AI-assisted development - to move faster without compromising quality.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications (frontend + backend + APIs) in a production environment.
    • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews
    • Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as a standard part of your development and debugging workflow
    • Debug production issues across the stack, from UI to services to data layer
    • Collaborate with team to translate requirements into technical designs
    • Contribute to architecture decisions and help improve engineering practices, CI/CD, and observability
    • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed

    Must-Have Qualifications

    • 3+ years of professional software development experience as a Full Stack Developer
    • Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue) and one backend language/framework (Java, Node.js, Python, or similar)
    • Solid understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and system design fundamentals
    • Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI tools for code development and debugging (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT for coding) - candidates should be able to speak concretely to how AI tools have shaped their workflow.
    • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex, multi-layered systems.
    • Hands-on experience building or working with AI agents - systems that use LLMs to reason, plan, and take actions autonomously across multi-step workflows.
    • Understanding of tool/function calling patterns used to connect LLMs with external APIs, databases, and services.
    • Familiarity with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Amazon Bedrock Agents to orchestrate tool use, memory, and decision loops.
    • Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar standards for connecting AI models to external tools and data sources is a plus.
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

    Good to Have

    • Data engineering exposure - ETL pipelines, data warehousing, Spark processing Kafka, or similar big-data
    • Tooling
    • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
    • Familiarity with observability/monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, Splunk)
    • Exposure to travel/e-commerce domain or high-scale consumer platforms
    • Experience leading small technical initiatives.
    • Contributions to internal tooling, developer productivity, or AI-workflow adoption within a team

    Location

    • Gurgaon, India (on-site/hybrid per Expedia Group's current work policy)
