Software Development Engineer – I (SDE-1)

Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and curious Software Development Engineer – I (SDE-1) to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career engineers who are eager to build scalable systems, learn modern cloud-native development, and work on real-world AI-driven applications. As an SDE-1, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy software components while gaining hands-on exposure to distributed systems, databases, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies such as LLMs. Key Responsibilities: • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python or Java. • Support the development of scalable and modular software components. • Work with NoSQL and RDBMS databases for data storage and retrieval. • Learn and contribute to cloud-based deployments on AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Implement basic authentication and authorization mechanisms. • Participate in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality. • Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams. • Use Git for version control and follow software development best practices. • Work in a Linux-based development environment and follow coding standards. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 0–1 year of experience (freshers are encouraged to apply). • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python or Java. • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. • Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) concepts. • Basic knowledge of web development fundamentals (APIs, HTTP, REST). • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) through coursework, projects, or internships is a plus. • Awareness of CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Git workflows. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies. • Good communication and teamwork skills. Good to Have: • Academic or personal projects involving distributed systems or cloud applications. • Exposure to LLMs, AI workflows, or RAG pipelines (learning mindset is more important than experience). • Internship experience in software development or backend engineering.
