About the Role:

We are looking for a highly technical Software Development Engineer I (SDE I ) with strong expertise in Python, AI/ML and backend development to join our engineering team in Bengaluru.

The role involves working on the development and enhancement of technology products and modular product features across areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, automation, data processing and web-based systems.

You will work closely with the product and engineering team to develop individual modules, services and capabilities that form part of larger technology products.

The primary technical focus will be Python, logical problem solving, AI/ML and backend engineering. Knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript and frontend development will be an added advantage.

This role is intended for someone with strong computer science fundamentals and genuine software engineering capability, rather than someone whose experience is limited to short-term coding courses or basic development training.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based software modules and backend services
• Build AI/ML-powered features and integrate them into production applications
• Develop data processing, automation and intelligent processing pipelines
• Work with APIs, databases and third-party services
• Implement modular components that integrate with larger product systems
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services
• Work with structured and unstructured data
• Integrate AI/ML models and external AI services into applications
• Develop automation and data extraction systems where required
• Debug, optimize and improve existing modules and services
• Understand existing codebases and contribute to their continued development
• Work with engineering and product teams to convert requirements into reliable technical implementations
• Evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies for specific product requirements
• Write maintainable, reusable and production-quality code
• Participate in the complete development lifecycle of assigned modules and features

Educational Qualification Mandatory

BE / B.Tech in Computer Science or Computer Science-related engineering discipline is mandatory.

BE / B.Tech Computer Science Engineering

BE / B.Tech Information Science / Information Technology

BE / B.Tech Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

BE / B.Tech – Data Science / related Computer Science engineering disciplines

Candidates without a relevant BE/B.Tech engineering background will be considered for this position only if strong background supports.

This position is intended for candidates with formal computer science/engineering fundamentals and professional software development experience.

Experience

1–3 years of relevant professional software development experience.

Experience should preferably include practical work involving Python, backend development, AI/ML, data processing or related software engineering.

Candidates whose experience is primarily based on short-term coding courses, training institutes, bootcamps or basic tutorial-based projects will not be suitable for this position.

Work Environment

You will be part of a technical product development team working on modular software components and features across multiple technology products.
