Software Development Engineer 1

Job Summary Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of software solutions under defined requirements.
• Work across the full application stack, including front-end user interfaces and back-end services.
• Develop and maintain application features using JavaScript.
• Understand and consume key elements of JSON-based data exchanges as needed.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or other databases to query and extract structured and semi-structured data stored as JSON.
• Troubleshoot code issues and implement fixes to ensure application stability and performance.
• Participate in ongoing platform enhancements and feature updates based on user requirements.
• Review functional specifications and validation deliverables as assigned.
• Develop a foundational understanding of IQVIA and industry quality standards.
• Support development projects by following specific technical instructions with limited discretion.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically requires 1 year of relevant software development experience.

Technical Skills

• JavaScript - Intermediate proficiency
• JSON - Proficient understanding, including key structural elements
• Databases - Proficient knowledge of PostgreSQL or any other relational database
• Analytics tools - Knowledge preferred (reporting, dashboards, or data analysis tools)
• Exposure to AI tools - Co pilot, Cursor AI etc. highly preferable.
