Job Purpose As a

Software Developer at Sphinx Solutions, you will play a dual role: leveraging structured enterprise processes while moving fast to convert raw ideas into usable, real-life software. You will participate in the complete, structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)—from discovery to deployment—while taking personal ownership of core modules and helping guide newer team members.

Key Responsibilities and Duties 1. Technical Design, Code Ownership & Mentorship

• Clean & Modular Code: Design, build, and maintain highly modular, readable, and reliable code for custom software systems.
• End-to-End Module Ownership: Take complete ownership of small-to-medium-sized modules from requirement analysis to final release.
• Growth & Mentorship: Actively guide and coach newer team members or freshers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and cross-functional teams to bring an end-to-end perspective to business problems.

2. Modern System Integration & DevOps

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Deploy applications on cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) using optimized DevOps CI/CD pipelines to ensure performance, security, and maximum uptime.
• Data & Messaging Systems: Integrate and manage modern database architectures and messaging queues to build low-latency, scalable backend engines.
• Intelligent Features: Collaborate on embedding functional AI/ML layers and advanced analytics features into existing software blueprints.

3. Enterprise Software Quality (CMMI Level 3 Standards)

• SDLC Process & Transparency: Participate in the full, structured software development process (Requirement Analysis, UI/UX handoff, Prototype review, Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance) to uphold CMMI Level 3 delivery standards.
• Rigorous Testing: Carry out thorough unit tests and other quality control mechanisms to validate designs and ensure code reliability.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize database schemas, eliminate technical bottlenecks, and maintain clear technical documentation (e.g., SRS, system blueprints).

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field.
• Technical Experience: 2 to 5 years of professional software development experience in an agile IT services or software outsourcing environment.
• Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Python or Laravel/PHP).
• Database Management: Demonstrated experience with SQL and NoSQL database design, schema optimization, and querying (e.g., Postgres, Elasticsearch).
• Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Kubernetes), and automated CI/CD pipelines.
