Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Scala Developer with strong programming skills and hands-on experience in building, developing, and maintaining scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Scala, functional programming, distributed data processing, and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Scala.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Work with functional programming concepts and object-oriented programming principles.
• Develop and optimize data processing applications and backend services.
• Work with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing, where applicable.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Scala programming.
• Good knowledge of functional programming concepts.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, collections, and concurrency.
• Experience with debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience with Git and Agile development practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Apache Spark and Spark SQL.
• Hadoop ecosystem and big data technologies.
• Kafka and distributed systems.
• Akka, Play Framework, or REST APIs.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Candidate Requirements

• Candidates must be currently based in Bangalore.
• Must be willing to attend a face-to-face interview in Bangalore.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a maximum 30-day notice period preferred.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
