Software Developer (RPGLE / AS400)

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong expertise in AS400 technologies to develop and maintain enterprise applications using multiple technologies.

The role involves close collaboration with technical architects, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using RPG, RPGLE, and SQLRPGLE
• Work with CLLE, DB (DDS, DDL), and ILE concepts
• Design and create HLD (High-Level Design) and LLD (Low-Level Design) documents
• Perform coding and unit testing in line with organizational standards
• Ensure compliance with project deliverables and project management methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Work independently as an individual contributor

Requirements

Non-Negotiable Competencies

• Minimum 6 years of experience in IT
• Strong programming fundamentals in:
• RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE
• DDS, DDL, Free Format
• Extensive experience in SQLRPGLE including:
• Procedures, Modules, Service Programs, Binding Directories
• Hands-on experience with:
• Subfile, Display File, and RLU
• FTP, SFTP, and Web Services
• Experience in Unit and Integration Testing
• Good understanding of SDLC (Waterfall / Agile)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred / Negotiable Competencies

• Experience in Retail domain
• Exposure to ARCAD
• Experience working with European clients
• AS400 certification (added advantage)
• Understanding of Dutch or French language (added advantage)
