About Flowcall Flowcall is an AI-powered customer service automation platform that helps D2C and e-commerce brands resolve support queries automatically — across WhatsApp, email, voice, Instagram, and web chat. Our clients include
Atomberg, mCaffeine, Hyphen, Ugaoo, Knya, and Damensch . We consistently achieve 80–90% query automation rates, enabling our clients to dramatically reduce support team sizes while improving customer experience. We're growing fast — 25% MoM — and we're looking for builders who want to be at the frontier of applied AI.
The Role You'll be part of a small, high-ownership engineering team working directly with the founders. This isn't a role where you'll spend months on one isolated feature — you'll be across the system, shipping things that matter, and building tools that multiply the team's leverage. What You'll Work On
- Build and maintain features across our full stack — Angular frontend, Express/TypeScript backend, PostgreSQL
- Integrate and optimise LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini) for automated customer support workflows
- Design and build internal automation tooling to help the team move faster — think workflow orchestrators, prompt management systems, evaluation pipelines
- Work on WhatsApp Business API integrations, voice AI features, and multi-channel messaging pipelines
- Contribute to system reliability, observability, and performance improvements as we scale
- Collaborate directly with founders and the CTO to shape product and technical direction

What We're Looking For Must-Have
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript — you write clean, maintainable, production-grade TS
- Solid understanding of backend development with Node.js/Express or similar frameworks
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Genuine curiosity about AI and a willingness to learn fast — new models, tools, and paradigms drop every few weeks and you need to keep up
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving startup Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.) — prompt engineering, function calling, RAG pipelines
- Experience building internal tools or automation scripts to improve team efficiency
- Familiarity with Angular or another modern frontend framework
- Understanding of conversational AI systems, chatbot architectures, or customer service automation
- Experience with messaging APIs like WhatsApp Business API or similar platforms
