About this role
An early-career role designed to grow you into a Software Architect. You will work alongside senior engineers, learning system design, architectural patterns, and the trade-offs that shape how production systems are built across the ecosystem.
What You Will Do
- Study and document existing system architecture - data flows, service boundaries, and integration points
- Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to design discussions
- Write technical specifications and architecture decision records (ADRs)
- Build proof-of-concept implementations to validate architectural hypotheses
- Learn and apply design patterns - domain-driven design, event sourcing, CQRS, microservices
- Shadow senior engineers on system design, capacity planning, and incident post-mortems
- Strong CS fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, system design basics
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (TypeScript/Node.js preferred)
- Genuine curiosity about how systems work at scale - not just coding, but designing
- Ability to read and reason about unfamiliar codebases
- Willingness to learn fast and take on responsibility beyond your experience level
