About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Intern who is curious about social media, content, trends, and consumer behaviour.

You will work closely with the marketing and creative team to build Zoomies social presence across platforms. This is a hands-on role where you will get exposure to content creation, social media strategy, trend research, community building, and performance tracking.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing Zoomies social media calendar across Instagram and other relevant platforms.
• Research trending formats, sounds, memes, conversations, and content ideas relevant to pet parents.
• Help create and coordinate content including Reels, carousels, stories, static posts, and short-form videos.
• Work with the creative team to convert ideas and briefs into engaging social content.
• Track competitor and category activity to identify content trends and opportunities.
• Support influencer/creator content and UGC initiatives.
• Monitor comments, engagement, mentions, and overall community activity.
• Track basic social media metrics such as reach, engagement, views, shares, saves, follower growth, and content performance.
• Analyse what content is working and help identify ways to improve future content.
• Maintain content calendars, trackers, and basic social media reports.
• Support social media campaigns, launches, contests, and other marketing initiatives.

Must Have Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience; freshers with strong interest in social media are welcome.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels, Stories, memes, and current social media trends.
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Someone who naturally spends time on social media and understands what makes content engaging.
• Creative mindset with the ability to come up with fresh content ideas.
• Basic understanding of social media metrics and analytics.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership.
• Interest in pets, D2C brands, consumer behaviour, content, or digital marketing is a plus.

Good to Have

• Experience managing a personal/college/brand Instagram page.
• Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, or similar content creation tools.
• Experience creating Reels or short-form content.
• Previous experience with a college media team, content page, creator account, or internship.
• A portfolio or examples of content you've created.
