Social Media Manager

Job Purpose

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to strengthen political branding, audience engagement, and digital presence. The role will manage multi-platform content operations, monitor performance analytics, collaborate with creative teams, and stay informed about political trends and online narratives to ensure relevant and impactful communication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Political Branding

• Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with political branding and engagement objectives.
• Build and maintain a consistent digital presence across key social media platforms.
• Identify opportunities to increase audience engagement, reach, and visibility.

2. Content Planning & Platform Management

• Manage daily content planning, scheduling, publishing, and audience interactions across Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
• Maintain platform-specific content calendars and ensure timely publication.
• Monitor comments, messages, and audience interactions and support appropriate responses.

3. Analytics & Performance Optimization

• Monitor social media analytics, audience behavior, reach, and engagement metrics.
• Evaluate campaign and content performance and recommend improvements.
• Continuously adjust content and social media strategies to improve reach and engagement.

4. Creative & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with content writers, graphic designers, video teams, and other creative stakeholders to develop impactful multimedia content.
• Ensure social media content is aligned with overall communication and branding objectives.
• Coordinate content requirements and timelines to ensure timely delivery.

5. Political & Digital Trend Monitoring

• Stay updated on political developments, social issues, current affairs, public sentiment, and emerging online narratives.
• Monitor relevant conversations and trends across digital platforms.
• Identify relevant trends and opportunities to maintain timely and engaging communication.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in political communication, political campaigns, public relations, or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms, publishing tools, content management tools, and analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple social media channels simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong content planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Understanding of political campaigns, public communications, and digital engagement.
• Keen interest in current affairs, political developments, and social issues.
