Snowflake Cortex AI Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Snowflake Cortex AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI applications using Snowflake Cortex and modern Generative AI technologies. The role involves building AI agents, integrating enterprise data with Snowflake, leveraging open-source and commercial foundation models, and publishing AI solutions through the Snowflake Marketplace. You will work closely with our AI leadership team to build scalable, production-ready AI products for enterprise customers. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI applications using Snowflake Cortex (Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Agents, Cortex AI).
• Build AI-powered enterprise solutions using Snowpark, Python, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Integrate enterprise data sources and develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Work with open-source and commercial LLMs (Llama, Mistral, Qwen, Gemini, etc.) for AI-driven workflows.
• Develop and deploy Snowflake Native Apps and publish AI solutions to the Snowflake Marketplace.
• Build scalable APIs and AI services using Python, FastAPI, and modern software engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions.
• Optimize AI application performance, security, and scalability following enterprise best practices. Required Skills
• Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, SQL
• Python and API Development (FastAPI/REST)
• Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and RAG
• Experience with Snowflake Native Apps and Snowflake Marketplace (preferred)
• Knowledge of Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, or AWS Bedrock is a plus
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving, architecture, and software development skills
