- Primary skills: Snowflake admin We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator responsible for managing, monitoring, securing, and optimizing Snowflake data platform environments. The role includes performance tuning, cost optimization, access control, and production support for enterprise data workloads. Key Responsibilities Snowflake Administration Manage Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, schemas, and roles Configure and maintain virtual warehouses (compute layers) Handle user access, RBAC, and security policies Monitor system usage and ensure platform stability Performance Tuning & Optimization Optimize Snowflake queries, warehouse sizing, and auto-scaling Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks Implement clustering, partitioning, and caching strategies Monitor query performance using Query Profile and History Cost Management Track and optimize Snowflake credit usage Implement cost-saving strategies: Auto suspend/resume Right-sizing warehouses Query optimization Generate usage reports and cost dashboards Data Security & Governance Implement data security best practices Role-based access control (RBAC) Row-level and column-level security Manage data encryption and masking policies Ensure compliance with organizational security standards Data Integration & Pipeline Support Support data loading using: Snowpipe Bulk loads (COPY INTO) External stages (S3, Azure Blob) Collaborate with ETL teams (Informatica, Airflow, dbt, etc.) Troubleshoot data ingestion and transformation issues Backup & Recovery Utilize Time Travel and Fail-safe features Perform data recovery and disaster recovery planning Ensure data availability and integrity Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor system health, workloads, and query activity Troubleshoot: Query failures Data load issues Performance degradation Handle incident management, RCA, and SLA adherence
