Overview
SME -Lending & Core Banking for Banking Projects
Domain SME for lending and core banking engagements, complementing the existing SME (Lending, Finacle) with leasing / asset finance depth and Oracle Flexcube / Temenos T24 platform experience
Responsibilities
Mandatory: strong domain capability
- Explain the end-to-end lending and leasing / asset finance lifecycle, product variants and their business rules
- Work through rental, APR, interest, balloon, residual value and early-settlement calculations and validate system results
- Explain accounting entries, GL impact and EOD / BOD processing for lending and core banking transactions
- Demonstrate hands-on delivery on Oracle Flexcube or Temenos T24 lending / core modules
- Independently review BRD / FSD, identify gaps and challenge requirements with business stakeholders
- Key functional areas
- Retail and corporate lending lifecycle - origination (LOS), underwriting, sanction, disbursement, repayment, collections (LMS)
- Leasing / asset finance - equipment leasing, hire purchase, vehicle finance, rental and APR calculations, balloon payments, residual values, early settlement, end-of-term, repossession
- Core banking - customer / CIF, CASA, deposits, GL, interest and charges, EOD / BOD, interfaces Responsibilities
- Understand project scope and functional requirements across assigned clients; read and review BRD / FSD / user stories
- Prepare and review test scenarios and test cases for domain coverage and correctness
- Review test execution against plan; guide testers on complex domain scenarios and defect triage
- Support status reporting and participate in customer governance calls and stakeholder discussions
- Act as domain point of contact for project managers and test leads across multiple projects
- Build reusable domain assets - scenario libraries, checklists, regulatory change notes
- Support presales / proposals and new-project mobilisation with domain inputs
- Mentor and upskill bench and project resources in the domain Essential skills
- Strong functional domain knowledge with hands-on testing / BA background in banking projects
- Test design and review, UAT support, defect management
- Requirement analysis - BRD / FSD review, gap analysis, traceability
- Stakeholder management and client-facing communication
- Tools: JIRA, Confluence, test management tools (ALM / Zephyr / Xray); SQL for data validation
- Agile and Waterfall delivery Desired skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.Mandatory: Strong domain capability - End-to-end lending and leasing / asset finance lifecycle, calculations (rental, APR, residual, early settlement), accounting and EOD impacts; hands-on Flexcube / T24Experience7-10 years overall as a Business Analyst / domain specialist; minimum 5 years in lending / asset finance and core bankingPlatform certifications (Oracle Flexcube / Temenos) - preferred
