About this role
Position Summary
Lead IP Core Network Operations and Service Assurance across multi-vendor environments including Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, Fortinet, SD-WAN, BRAS, CGNAT, DDI/DNS, Load Balancers and Wi-Fi platforms. Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex network issues, drive network quality improvements, support critical customer escalations, and work closely with Engineering teams and OEMs for RCA, optimization and core network enhancements.
Key Responsibilities - Act as SME for IP/MPLS Core, ILL, Broadband, Wi-Fi and centralized network services.
- Provide lightning-fast fault isolation, troubleshooting and resolution with corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide TAC-level technical support for critical and complex network incidents and customer escalations.
- Ensure network uptime, SLA compliance, KPI achievement and superior customer experience.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, L2/L3 routing, routers, switches, firewalls and security platforms.
- Drive network quality improvement initiatives and performance optimization programs across the core network.
- Work closely with Engineering, Planning and OEMs on RCA, network design improvements and core network modifications.
- Lead OEM coordination and manage operational relationships with Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, Fortinet and other partners.
- Drive new service testing, rollout, operational readiness and technology adoption.
- Analyze network performance trends and recommend optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with NOC, Field Operations, Planning and Service Delivery teams for service assurance.
- Monitor team productivity and support technical skill enhancement initiatives.
- 10-15 years of experience in IP Core Network Operations and Service Assurance.
- Strong expertise in IP/MPLS, Routing & Switching, Broadband, Internet, ILL and Wi-Fi services.
- Deep hands-on experience in L2/L3 routing technologies including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS and Traffic Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Nokia, Juniper routers and Fortinet firewalls.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, BRAS, CGNAT, Infoblox DDI/DNS and Load Balancer technologies.
- Strong understanding of network monitoring, fault management and troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to provide TAC-level troubleshooting support and technical leadership during major incidents.
- Experience working with Engineering teams and OEMs for RCA, service improvements and network transformation initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience handling customer escalations and driving incidents to technical closure.
- BE/B. Tech in Telecom, Computer Science, IT or Electronics & Communication.
- CCNA - Enterprise Networking
- CCNP Enterprise (Routing & Switching / Service Provider)
- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or CCIE Service Provider
- JNCIP / JNCIE (Juniper Networks)
- Nokia NRS Certifications
- Fortinet NSE Certifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
