Slack API Integration Engineer

. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Collaboration Systems Engineer to join the Autodesk Collaboration Experience team. In this role, you will design, build, and operate scalable solutions across key collaboration platforms—including Slack, Airtable, and other enterprise SaaS platforms—supporting both business operations and engineering productivity. You will combine hands on solution development with platform administration, automation, and integration, translating organizational needs into secure, reliable, and well governed collaboration systems. Strong technical expertise, a platform ownership mindset, and the ability to partner across engineering, IT, and business teams are essential.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience engineering and supporting enterprise collaboration SaaS platforms
• Strong hands-on expertise with Slack and Airtable solution development and administration
• Proficiency in JavaScript and solid experience working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and system integrations
• Experience designing, building, and operating integrations across multiple enterprise systems and services
• Demonstrated ability to balance rapid delivery with scalability, security, governance, and operational standards
• Experience developing internal tools, workflows, or automation solutions for technology and business teams
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, access management, and data governance best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex technical challenges into practical solutions
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise workflow automation and integration platforms
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, or infrastructure automation
• Exposure to SaaS platform governance, audit controls, and enterprise-scale collaboration environments
• Experience working in fast-paced, globally distributed teams environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Slack applications, bots, workflows, and Airtable-based solutions to enhance collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency
• Build and integrate solutions using Slack APIs (Events API, Block Kit, slash commands), Airtable automations, formulas, interfaces, APIs, and webhooks
• Administer and manage collaboration platforms, including configuration, change management, scalability, reliability, security, and performance optimization
• Establish and evolve platform standards, governance frameworks, and best practices related to development, automation, data integrity, compliance, and operational excellence
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, resolve automation failures, and address performance or integration issues in production environments
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, security, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on solutions, and deliver high-impact outcomes
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support materials to ensure long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing
• Participate in platform architecture discussions, vendor evaluations, and implementation initiatives as collaboration technologies evolve
