Sitecore Tech Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Sitecore XM upgrade (10.1/10.2 → 10.4) using a side-by-side migration approach across multiple sites.
• Define and own the solution architecture for Sitecore XM 10.4 on Sitecore Managed Cloud (Azure).
• Drive codebase modernization, including refactoring deprecated APIs, upgrading frameworks, and aligning with Helix principles.
• Oversee content migration strategy (DB upgrade, serialization, SPE, hybrid approaches) ensuring zero data loss.
• Lead cloud migration from GCP/Rackspace to Azure.
• Architect and govern CI/CD pipelines for automated build, deployment, and release management.
• Ensure integration readiness, including third-party APIs, authentication, and infrastructure dependencies.
• Own performance, scalability, and security architecture (CDN, caching, indexing, WAF, SSL, etc.).
• Provide technical leadership to developers, conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor team members.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and stakeholders to ensure smooth cutover, rollback planning, and hypercare support.
• Drive risk identification and mitigation across upgrade and migration lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise standards (security, compliance, accessibility, DevSecOps).

Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Sitecore (XM/XP) with strong architectural exposure.
• Proven experience in Sitecore version upgrades (9.x/10.x → 10.4 preferred).
• Strong expertise in Sitecore architecture (CM/CD roles, Solr/Azure Search, caching, pipelines).
• Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS.
• Experience with Sitecore Managed Cloud (SMC) or Sitecore on Azure deployments.
• Deep knowledge of .NET (C#), MVC, Web API, and dependency management.
• Experience in multi-site Sitecore implementations and environment consolidation strategies.
• Strong understanding of content migration tools (SCS, Unicorn, SPE, DB upgrade scripts).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and release management.
• Familiarity with cloud-to-cloud migration patterns (GCP/Rackspace → Azure).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across code, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale, multi-vendor environments.
