Job Description: Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to manage production reliability, incident response, observability, and service availability for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with the ELK Stack, incident management, root cause analysis, SLI/SLO/SLA management, disaster recovery, and automation.

The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams to improve system resilience, minimize downtime, and ensure production service reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major incident management activities, including incident triage, escalation, service restoration, and stakeholder communication.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and blameless postmortems to identify recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Define, monitor, and improve Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions.
• Use the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) for centralized log management, troubleshooting, log analysis, and dashboard development.
• Monitor production systems and cloud service health to proactively identify performance and availability issues.
• Drive reliability engineering initiatives and ensure production readiness for business-critical applications.
• Perform capacity planning, performance analysis, and resource utilization optimization.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using shell scripting or other scripting languages to reduce manual effort and operational toil.
• Participate in on-call operations and manage critical production escalations.
• Develop and maintain consolidated dashboards for monitoring cloud and application health.
• Support the transition from DCiaB to MaaPs, including operational readiness and monitoring integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service stability, reduce MTTR, and prevent recurring incidents.
