Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Infrastructure Architect with 10–12 years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure, production support, and on-premises architecture.

The role will focus on designing, supporting, and maintaining highly available enterprise applications and infrastructure across traditional on-premises, non-cloud and non-containerized environments. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across application/web servers, middleware, networking, databases, and 3-tier enterprise architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise on-premises infrastructure and application architectures.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and stability of production environments.
• Provide technical ownership for 3-tier enterprise application architectures.
• Manage and troubleshoot application/web server environments such as Tomcat, WebLogic, and similar technologies.
• Support and administer enterprise middleware and messaging platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, middleware, infrastructure, and network layers.
• Work with DNS, load balancers, network configurations, and connectivity components.
• Collaborate with database and application teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance optimization, infrastructure upgrades, and technology refresh activities.
• Define and maintain infrastructure standards, architecture documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes in enterprise production environments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and resilient application delivery.

Required Skills

• 10–12 years of experience in SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, Systems Engineering, or Enterprise Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with on-premises / data-center infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of 3-tier enterprise application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, or similar application/web servers.
• Good understanding of enterprise middleware and messaging technologies.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, load balancers, networking, and connectivity concepts.
• Understanding of enterprise database environments and their infrastructure dependencies.
• Strong troubleshooting and RCA capabilities across multiple infrastructure layers.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise production environments.
• Strong understanding of high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability concepts.

Preferred

• Experience handling critical production environments and enterprise applications.
• Exposure to infrastructure automation, scripting, monitoring, or operational tooling.
• Experience with infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
