Site Reliability Engineer Lead

We are looking for an experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of our cloud-native SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure uptime SLAs and reliability across production, staging, and testing environments.
• Optimize platform configurations, including instance sizing, memory allocation, thread pools, JVM tuning, and log levels.
• Configure and optimize API gateways, service registries, load balancers, and caching services.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability tools for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Plan capacity, implement autoscaling strategies, and conduct performance, load, and stress testing.
• Perform chaos engineering experiments to validate fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve performance bottlenecks and improve deployment practices.
• Document configuration standards and operational best practices.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Performance Engineering.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
• Expertise in JVM tuning, including heap sizing, garbage collection (GC), and thread pool configuration.
• Experience with API gateways such as Kong, Apigee, NGINX, or Envoy.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with load-testing tools such as k6, Gatling, and JMeter.
• Knowledge of chaos engineering tools such as Gremlin and LitmusChaos.
• Strong understanding of microservices performance and distributed systems.

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with MACH architecture principles.
• Experience in e-commerce SaaS or high-scale transactional platforms.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio and Linkerd.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
