Site Manufacturing Science and Technology Head_Ig, Ljubljana, Slovenia

We are inviting applications for the position of Head of Manufacturing Science and Technology (d/f/m) at the new biosimilars manufacturing site in Brnik. In this role, you will lead the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) function at the site, responsible for the scientific and technical introduction of manufacturing processes, technical changes, technology transfers, and validations. Your responsibilities will include stewardship of technical manufacturing processes and products, as well as the overall development of the Manufacturing Science and Technology function.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Leading the department: Guiding the team, setting goals, defining the vision, and ensuring employee development and clear career pathways.
• Managing knowledge and standards: Establishing and maintaining standards for technical and scientific processes, ensuring reporting accuracy and readiness for regulatory inspections.
• Product and process stewardship: Providing expert oversight of all products and manufacturing processes throughout the entire lifecycle, and resolving technical challenges in collaboration with local and global teams.
• Oversight of technical changes: Leading change control processes, preparing scientific documentation, and collaborating with health authorities and regulatory stakeholders.
• Validation of manufacturing and cleaning processes: Ensuring the preparation and maintenance of the sites validation master plan and maintaining continuous validation status of all processes.
• Technology transfers and new product launches: Leading or supporting technology transfers to, within, or from the site and ensuring technical capabilities for successful new product introduction.
• Supporting manufacturing excellence: Developing technical standards, optimizing processes, integrating new technologies, and providing expert support during the start up of equipment and manufacturing areas.
• Training and technical development: Ensuring high quality technical training, updating curricula, and promoting knowledge sharing across the site and the wider organization.
  
  

What You Will Bring To The Role

• A masters degree in a scientific or pharmaceutical field, chemical engineering, or pharmaceutical technology; a doctoral degree in these areas is an advantage.
• At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing; additional specialist experience is desirable (such as pharmaceutical formulation, process development, or manufacturing technology).
• Proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
