Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to manage and execute construction activities at assigned project sites. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, quality control, drawing interpretation, material management, contractor coordination, safety compliance and daily progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily and weekly construction activities in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Read and execute structural, architectural and MEP drawings.
• Check line, level, shuttering, reinforcement and cover before concreting.
• Prepare pour cards and coordinate RMC, concrete pumping and testing activities.
• Conduct quality checks for excavation, foundations, RCC, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing and finishing.
• Arrange cube and material testing and maintain test records.
• Take joint measurements with contractors and prepare RA bill quantities for Project Manager review.
• Raise material indents, inspect incoming materials and monitor steel, cement and RMC consumption.
• Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) covering manpower, work completed, materials and site issues.
• Maintain site registers, including hindrance, pour, testing, drawing and site instruction records.
• Ensure PPE compliance, safe working at height and toolbox talks; report incidents promptly.
• Maintain site discipline and ensure compliance with dust, noise, debris and working-hour norms.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering. A Diploma in Civil Engineering with relevant additional experience may also be considered.
• 47 years of site execution experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in high-rise RCC residential building projects in Mumbai/MMR.
• Experience in redevelopment or congested-plot construction projects will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of structural and architectural drawing interpretation.
• Quantity take-off and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) checking.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of IS codes for RCC work and construction safety practices.
• Experience in contractor coordination, material reconciliation and site documentation.
• Strong planning, reporting and team coordination skills.
