Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the site.
• Execute work as per approved architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site supervisors.
• Check dimensions, levels, alignments, and quality of construction work.
• Review drawings and identify technical issues or discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed as per schedule.
• Verify quantities and measurements of completed work.
• Coordinate material requirements and monitor material consumption.
• Ensure proper workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with quality-control teams.
• Identify site problems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants/client representatives.
• Assist in preparing estimates, BOQs, quantity calculations, and work orders where required.
• Maintain records of drawings, measurements, instructions, and site communications.
• Report progress, delays, material requirements, and technical issues to the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 25 years of relevant site/construction experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site execution.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of quantity measurement and basic estimation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of relevant project-management software is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to work at construction/project sites.
