Site engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage overall site operations and project execution, ensuring timely completion of projects within approved budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
• Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities, including manpower allocation, labor productivity, material reconciliation, and quantity estimation.
• Prepare and review detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and project budgets to support accurate planning and cost control.
• Monitor day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, construction standards, and project schedules.
• Plan and coordinate site resources, including manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Track project progress, identify potential delays or cost overruns, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets.
• Verify quantities executed at site and coordinate material reconciliation to minimize wastage, discrepancies, and unnecessary project costs.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, commercial, quality, and subcontractor teams to resolve site-related technical and operational issues.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and site requirements, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to address design or execution-related discrepancies.
• Monitor workmanship and construction quality, ensuring compliance with approved methodologies, specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, quantity measurements, material consumption, work permits, inspection records, and other project documentation.
• Support project planning, resource forecasting, and execution strategies to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and overall project performance.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of project issues.
• Ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable codes, statutory requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies.
