Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer (Civil) Project

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret and implement architectural, structural, and MEP drawings on site; carry out setting-out, layout marking, and level checks for each sub-component of the complex.
• Prepare and verify Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and work-front-wise quantity estimates against actual consumption.
• Conduct technical checks on formwork, reinforcement, concrete pours, and structural elements before sign-off; ensure adherence to design specifications and IS codes.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and utility (fuel station, hotel, retail, warehouse) consultants to resolve site-level technical queries and interface issues.
• Prepare and maintain Requests for Inspection (RFIs), work method statements, and technical checklists for each stage of construction.
• Review contractor/vendor work plans and technical submissions; ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Support the Site Supervisor and Project Manager with day-to-day technical problem-solving, especially at interfaces between different facility zones (e.g., fuel station and adjoining retail/parking, hotel and F&B block).
• Track material testing (concrete cubes, soil, steel, etc.) and coordinate with third-party labs; maintain test records.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings and technical documentation for handover.
• Assist in quantity/progress measurement for contractor billing and certify work completed as per approved drawings.
• Ensure engineering-level compliance with safety and statutory requirements applicable to highway-adjacent commercial construction (fuel station norms, fire safety, structural safety, etc.).
• Liaise with surveyors, testing agencies, and statutory/technical authorities as required during construction milestones.

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent work-fronts
• Willingness to be based full-time at the project site (highway location)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Full-time presence at the project site in Vishwanathapuram, Karnataka.
• Exposure to outdoor site conditions and construction environment.
• May require flexibility in working hours to match construction milestones and contractor schedules.
