About the Role

RenewX Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Site Engineer – Electrical to execute and supervise electrical works at solar project sites. The role involves site execution, manpower and material coordination, installation, testing, commissioning, quality control and coordination with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Site Execution

• Execute electrical works as per approved SLD, drawings, BOQ, specifications and project schedule.
• Supervise DC, AC & HT electrical installation including PV stringing, DC/AC cable laying, cable trays, inverters, ACDB/LT/HT panels, transformers, RMU/VCB and switchgear.
• Manage cable routing, glanding, termination, tagging, ferruling and cable dressing.
• Execute earthing, earth pits and lightning protection as per approved design.
• For rooftop projects, handle inverter installation, DC/AC routing, interconnection, earthing and net-meter/electrical coordination.

Manpower & Site Coordination

• Plan daily/weekly activities and allocate manpower to achieve project targets.
• Supervise subcontractors, technicians and electrical manpower.
• Coordinate with Civil, MMS/Mechanical, QA/QC, Procurement, Project Management and Client teams.
• Identify and report technical issues, site constraints and project risks.

Material Management

• Prepare material requirements based on project activities.
• Verify materials against BOQ/specifications and monitor availability and consumption.
• Coordinate with Procurement/Head Office and report shortages, damages or wastage.

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct/witness voltage, polarity, continuity, IR and earth resistance testing.
• Support testing of AC/DC cables, inverters, transformers, LT/HT panels, VCB/RMU and protection systems.
• Coordinate pre-energization checks and plant commissioning.
• Maintain testing and commissioning records.

Quality, Safety & Reporting

• Ensure installation complies with approved drawings, ITP, Method Statements and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections with QA/QC and close punch points.
• Follow electrical and rooftop site safety requirements.
• Prepare DPR, manpower reports, material records, testing records, photographs, weekly plans and constraint reports.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Solar PV Electrical Execution – DC, AC & HT.
• Good understanding of SLD, electrical drawings, BOQ and site measurements.
• Hands-on knowledge of cable laying/termination, earthing, panels, inverters and transformer installation.
• Ability to manage manpower, subcontractors and site activities.
• Strong coordination, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites across India.

Preferred Profile

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in Solar EPC / Electrical EPC projects.
• Ground-mounted and/or rooftop solar execution experience preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on site execution and commissioning exposure will be preferred.
