Sister Incharge

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day nursing activities within the assigned ward/unit.
• Ensure high standards of patient care, nursing practices and clinical protocols.
• Manage nursing staff allocation, duty rosters, attendance and shift coordination.
• Monitor medication administration, nursing procedures and patient documentation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety and hospital SOPs.
• Coordinate effectively with Doctors, Nursing Superintendent and other departments.
• Guide, train and motivate nursing staff to maintain quality patient care.
• Address patient/attendant concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor nursing supplies, equipment and overall ward readiness.
• Maintain nursing records, reports and other required documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant hospital nursing experience.
• Candidates with prior experience as Sister Incharge / Ward Incharge will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and team-management skills.
