Shopper & Packaging Designer

About the Role

The Shopper & Packaging Designer is responsible for creating, adapting and delivering high-quality shopper marketing, retail, point-of-sale and packaging artwork. The role combines strong design and artwork execution with print and packaging production knowledge, supported by the communication skills needed to interpret briefs, clarify requirements and coordinate feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and adapt creative assets for shopper marketing, retail, POS/POSM and packaging.
• Develop layouts and adaptations while maintaining brand and campaign consistency.
• Interpret creative and production briefs and translate them into clear design executions.
• Prepare accurate, production-ready artwork for print and packaging.
• Manage artwork adaptations, resizing, versioning and amendments across SKUs, formats and markets.
• Apply strong knowledge of typography, layout, colour, imagery and brand guidelines.
• Review artwork for accuracy, consistency and production readiness before Quality Control.
• Collaborate closely with Producers, Project Managers, Creative, Quality Control and production teams.
• Communicate clearly on brief requirements, design considerations, dependencies and artwork changes.
• Coordinate and incorporate stakeholder or client feedback accurately across revision cycles.
• Manage multiple assignments while meeting agreed deadlines and quality expectations.
• Proactively flag unclear briefs, conflicting feedback, missing information and production risks.

Skills & Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret briefs and coordinate feedback.
• Strong experience in shopper marketing, packaging, retail or print design and artwork.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Good understanding of print and packaging production requirements.
• Strong layout, typography and artwork adaptation skills.
• Good understanding of colour, resolution, dielines, bleed and production-ready artwork preparation.
• Experience working within brand guidelines and adapting master creative.
• Experience managing adaptations, versioning or multiple SKUs and formats.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on artwork accuracy.
• Ability to communicate confidently with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
