Purpose - Responsibilities of Section in-charge
- Incoming raw material quality, Process Quality and Product quality of GI, Galvalume, Paint, Primer, Pretreatment
- Product and system Audit.
- Appliance Customer Development
- Process parameters for coil coating lines.
- Addressing customers inquiry and formulation of TDC.
- Knowledge of National and International standard for Galvanized, Galvalume and Color coated products.
- Visiting customers to review the performance feedback.
- Providing Approved TDC for all OEM / export products.
- To ensure timely customer feedback resolution by visiting, analysis of defects and submission of CAPA.
- To ensure smooth delivery of quality products thru service centers by conducting audits at service centers.
- New product developments by conducting online trial and component analysis at customer end.
- Knowledge of Quality parameters and testing of the products.
- Equipment Calibration and usage.
- Preparation of Quality Norms for all color products.
Details:
* The Section In-charge for Quality Control will play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality, new products developments at our production lines for the product of GI/GL/ZM/PPGI/PPGL/PPZM/CRCA.
* Responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality process, maintaining high-quality standards, by product enquiry stage, conducting third party inspection and implementing quality control measures.
* Ensures processing of products as per customer requirements by Sales orders review, TDC with customers, collecting customer feedbacks, resolution of customer issues by defect analysis and submission of corrective actions to customers.
* Contributes in enhancing product quality, ensure customer satisfaction and market competitiveness by identifying and addressing quality issues promptly and effectively.
* Ensures a vital role in BIS Inclusions i.e., inclusion of new products and getting approved by government, yearly preparation and uploading of data for BIS government bodies and keeping update all the document.
* Ensures a vital role in reviewing the HOLD/WIP list and giving proper gradation to the coils/packets with the help of his experience and customers requirement.
* Contributes in preparing auction list i.e., differentiating auction coils as per rejection percentage and giving grades and prepare the same and get the auction cleared with the help of CSD team for stock dilution.
* Ensures a vital role in clearing marketing & PPC queries regarding selection of HR grade as per customer needs & clearing the marketing queries regarding capability of lines i.e., which material can be produced at which line.
* Ensures a vital role in audit preparation handling i.e., updating relevant document as per system.
* Ensures a vital role in maintaining a safe environment i.e., giving safety training to his team, adopting safe work culture
* Ensures a vital role in managing limited manpower resources for various inspection lines and offline.
* Provides the technical guidance to the new and existing staff.
* Participates in various management initiative like Safety, Innovation, Digitization, Cost reduction, TQM etc.
* Ensures vital role in shade management/development for all coated units in coordination with paint suppliers.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)
KRA:
Systems, Compliance & Governance
Compliance to ISO QMS, EnMS, EMS & OHSAS to be ensured.
Review of Sales orders and special customer requirements compliances
Revenue / Capex requirement of the Dept. Testing equipments availability to be ensured
Implementation of PDQC at all process units to Improve Yield, Reduction of complaint, Develop new products.
Implementation of Steel Quality Order for GI/GL/ZM/PPGI/PPGL/PPZM/CRCA products.
Review Monthly HR Performance & Register HRC complaint in CCMS
MES - 100 % implementation at all process stages.
Submission of TDC for coated products in OEM customers
Maintaining Audit documents as as per need
Preparation of auction list & reviewing the list
Reviewing of hold list and clearing as per customer needs
Training to New and existing workforce.
Prioritizing and enforcing the highest safety standards in all aspects of the quality control process.
Educational Background and Work Experience
B.Tech. (Metallurgy.)
- Experience 10 -15-year experience of Coated products Quality and product development.
Working relationships Stakeholders
Internal/External: Production, Quality Control, CSD, Application Engg, Customers and other directly associated functions
